With tons of things to do in Chinatown, you can consider this spot for your June holiday staycations. Opening in June this year, Mondrian Singapore Duxton will house 302 rooms. 

This hotel can be found among the Chinatown shophouses, adding a hint of contemporary to the cultural site.

Within the building, you can dine at an Italian resto, cocktail bar, and rooftop bar. Alternatively, head down to the Michelin-starred restaurants or Maxwell Food Centre nearby. There’s even a Shake Shack outlet conveniently opposite for a quick food run.

2. The Singapore Edition – Luxury hotel in Orchard

Other than being the go-to destination for food, shopping, and group hangouts, Orchard will soon be also home to The Singapore Edition, a boutique luxury chain with hotels all over the world from London to Dubai.

While they have not revealed much about their latest venture in Singapore just yet, Edition Hotels has shared that the 8-storey hotel will have 190 rooms, with futuristic elements inspired by art and technology.

3. Artyzen Singapore – Oriental-themed HK hotel on Orchard Road

Artyzen Singapore is a Hong Kong-based hotel chain, soon opening its first property along Orchard Road in mid-2023 for all of us in need of a little rejuvenation. At 20 storeys high, the hotel will have 134 standard rooms as well as 8 suites for those looking for a more extravagant stay.

You won’t have to leave the hotel thanks to plenty of amenities within reach. This includes a bar, garden-themed spa, gym, outdoor pool, and a romantic rooftop restaurant alongside 2 other eateries.

4. Pan Pacific Orchard – Sustainable hotel with 3 sky gardens

With not just 1 but 3 sky gardens is the 350-room Pan Pacific Orchard, set to open in May 2023 in the heart of town. You won’t just be getting city views, as many of the hotel’s uniquely “stacked” rooms will be facing picturesque sky terraces, each with a different theme.

Not just a pretty facade, Pan Pacific Orchard will also be a hotel with sustainability features, with a food composting compactor, rainwater harvesting system, and recyclable water system.

And if you think this looks a lot like PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering, you’d be right on the money as the hotel was built in collaboration with the same architecture firm, WOHA.

5. The Standard – Brand from Los Angeles with infinity pool

A famed boutique hotel brand from Los Angeles will be touching down in Singapore in late 2023. The Standard hotel brand is known for its stylish architecture that attracts even the likes of A-list celebrities Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lopez. 

The building will feature 143 rooms and will apparently have an infinity pool with a view of the city landscape. Designed by local firms, the hotel is expected to have a touch of greenery on its sleek exterior to fit in with Singapore’s garden city image.

Located at Orange Grove Road across from Shangri-La Singapore, The Standard is a 5-minute drive from a myriad of things to do in Orchard.

6. Owen House by Hmlet – 1920s-style design near Farrer Park

A stone’s throw away from Farrer Park MRT and City Square Mall is Owen House by Hmlet. If you’re into vintage aesthetics, you’ll find geometric-shaped furniture and decor there that alludes to the 1920s. There are also communal lounges on levels 2 and 4 if you’d like to socialise with other guests.

While there are currently 3 types of rooms available, their website has indicated that there will be more made available in future. Of which, one is a family room with a balcony for families who want an extra airy room.

7. Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa – 62 villas with private pools

2024 will be a thrilling year for all staycation junkies, with Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa among the upcoming launches. Exuding serious Bali vibes, the resort will be a good substitute for vacations to our favourite faraway beach destinations.

Previously Grand Park Orchard, Pullman Singapore Orchard has undergone a facelift and reopened recently with 308 upgraded rooms, a fitness club, and an outdoor pool.

Expect dining and shopping options galore, as this is located right along Orchard Road – meaning Paragon, Takashimaya, and Wisma Atria will be just a few minutes’ walk away.

You can dine at the in-house bar and restaurants located there or simply chow down in the comfort of your hotel room. Head to P.S.O. Beach Club where you can find a pool, sunbeds, and cabanas for a tropical stay within the city.

Orchard Road seems to be getting a whole makeover with multiple hotel revamps. voco Orchard Singapore, previously Hilton Singapore, has reopened with 423 upgraded rooms. Visitors can expect a refreshed lobby and new environmentally-friendly beds made out of recycled plastic bottles and sustainably-harvested cotton.

Whether you’re starving or in need of a snack, you can have your fill at the dining options within the hotel. Pop by the D9 cakery for a slice or dig into some grilled meat at Opus Bar & Grill steakhouse.

Down the street from voco Orchard Singapore is Mandarin Orchard Singapore, now revamped into Hilton Singapore Orchard. With over 1,000 rooms, you will find a variety of room types here – with and without a view of the city depending on whether you want a scenic view.

There’s also something for the kids too, with kid meals at their restaurant, Estate, and on their room service menus. Those younger than 5 years old can dine in for free while those aged 5-12 years old can get 50% discounts.

Families with kids aged 2-10 years old will be entitled to a welcome pack just for their little ones. They’ll get child-sized slippers, a bathrobe, and a mini backpack in each pack to make them feel stoked for the stay.
