Orchard Road Christmas Light-up 2023
Santa Claus isn’t the only one who’ll sleigh around town this December because you’ll also “sleigh” in your Instagram photos at Orchard Road. You probably already know by now what returns to Orchard Road every end of the year: the Orchard Road Christmas Light-up.
This year, they’re kicking it up a notch with 3 Christmas Villages, a Street Party and Cotton Candy Cloud Dreamscape Lights. Here’s what’s in store for you:
3 Christmas Villages with rides & light displays

You’ve probably heard about Christmas Villages from past Christmas Light-ups, but for those who haven’t, you can find exciting rides, beautiful light displays, local pop-up stores, live shows, and tasty treats.
There is an additional Christmas Village this year, making it 3 villages in total. The villages will be spread over 3 areas: outside of Shaw House, Plaza Singapura, and Ngee Ann City, opening on 4th November, 1st and 8th December, respectively.

First order of business here is to whip out your camera. Take Instagrammable shots with lit-up reindeer figurines, candy canes, and illuminated teddy bear props to commemorate this Christmas season.
They’re all set up between towering Christmas trees decked up in multicoloured LED lights and decorations, making the decorations exceptionally breathtaking.

Being the “Instagram boyfriend” isn’t the only thing you’ll be doing because you don’t want to miss rides on the double-decker carousel and the Ferris wheel at Shaw House.
Bring the kids along; they’ll have a blast on the bouncy castle and in the huge inflatable balloon dome in Plaza Singapura. Alternatively, the area outside Ngee Ann City has holiday-themed attractions like the Euro Swing that are kid-friendly.
First-ever street party on Christmas Eve

The streetlight displays stretch across over 3km, but the Paterson and Bideford junctions are where the Street Party will be. So, skip the bars and clubs on Christmas Eve and join the party at Orchard Road instead. This event will take place from 6pm–12.30am, and it’s sure to be grand since it’s Christmas On the Grand Street’s 40th anniversary.
Come early to fuel up at one of the F&B vendors and shop at pop-up stores there. You’ll be serenaded by Christmas carols along the way and maybe meet Santa Claus himself to find out whether you’re on the “naughty” or “nice” list this year.
What’s a Christmas party without a Christmas countdown? For those with no curfew, we’d suggest you party until the Christmas countdown clock appears outside of Hilton Singapore Orchard via an AR projection. It’s giving us the same vibes as the New Year’s Eve Countdown in New York.
Spend your Christmas countdown at Orchard Road
This Christmas, you don’t have to travel far for a night to remember. Orchard Road’s got you covered. Just like Taylor Swift’s Lover song, the Christmas lights will be there until January from 16th November 2023 to 2nd January 2024.

Besides the Christmas Villages, be sure to take a stroll along the streets to check out the Cotton Candy Cloud Dreamscape Lights, where you’ll see floating colourful LED clouds. We’d recommend you hop on a double-decker to get a closer look at the colourful lights. Book the Orchard Road Christmas Lighting Bus Tour in November.
With speakers on light posts playing melodious Christmas songs along the event and over 100 lit-up Christmas trees, you’ll feel like you’re the main character of a Christmas movie.
