There's A Mini Bali Hidden In Bishan-AMK Park If You Want Holiday Vibes But Don't Have Enough ALs

Aramsa the Garden Spa at Bishan-AMK Park

In a concrete jungle like Singapore, we often find ourselves craving spaces surrounded by nature, from beach clubs to garden-themed cafes. Here’s another one to add to your list that’s right in the heart of one of our favourite neighbourhood parks, Bishan-AMK Park.

Serving up Bali vibes is Aramsa The Garden Spa, which houses a yoga studio, outdoor cafe, and spa treatment rooms. Psst, they even have ongoing promotions.

Spa with outdoor garden bath

There’s no need to travel to places like Ubud or Phuket to treat yourself to a massage surrounded by nature. There’s literally a package called Bali Getaway ($348 for 150mins), which includes traditional exfoliation, Balinese massage, and mineral salt baths.

For some healing and inner peace, book the Milk & Rose outdoor garden bath ($98 for 30 minutes) – the milk helps to exfoliate your skin, while rose petals relax you so you can get better sleep. There’s also the option to add on a 60-minute massage for $76

If a massage is all you knead, book an a la carte 60-minute massage at a promotional price of $98 (U.P. $168) in August – which you can use until 29th December 2023. Choose between 2 treatments, Aramsa Touch and Inner Respite – with the latter centering more on the deeper layers of your muscle tissues.

P.S. Kiddos get 50% off the Kids Spa Menu for every paying adult – so it’s time to set aside some bonding time with your little ones.

Hidden yoga studio with trial passes at $35 for 2 classes

Self-care is the all-encompassing theme at Aramsa The Garden Spa. There’s a yoga studio hidden within its compound. Called Yoga Seeds, it occupies a light-filled space flanked by floor-to-ceiling glass windows. If you’re the type of person who needs the aircon, it strikes the perfect balance between staying indoors and having your yoga practice surrounded by nature.

Classes here range from relaxing Yin Yoga to more physically-challenging ones like Vinyasa Flow, where you quickly transition from one post to another. Passes are $35/session, but if you’re new to the studio, check out the welcome trial pack available at $35 for 2 classes – that’s one session free.

And because we love a good ol’ lobang, this one entails you to an Aramsa Spa voucher for a 60-minute spa treatment at only $100 (U.P. $168).

Pet-friendly canopy garden restaurant

After all that sun salutation and twisting your body like a pretzel, it’s time for some nourishment. Head on to Canopy Garden Dining, a pet-friendly restaurant open till 10pm. Ask to be seated at one of the alfresco dining spots, or seek shelter from the heat indoors.

Whether you’re there for brunch after yoga class or planning a date night with a special someone, there’s food for every occasion. Order the buttermilk pancake ($10) topped with either strawberries and almonds or bananas and walnuts – paired with a cappuccino ($5) for a hearty brunch. Otherwise, the pan-seared Norwegian salmon ($24) or a traditional beef lasagna ($19) is a safe first-dinner date choice.

There’s also happy hour from 12pm-8pm on weekdays – order a pint of draught beer ($12), housepour wine ($12/glass), or house spirits ($7)

Visit Aramsa The Garden Spa for your next pampering sesh

It’s hard to believe that somewhere as serene and calming as Aramsa The Garden Spa is tucked away in Bishan-AMK Park. It’s conveniently located too, just a 14-minute walk from Ang Mo Kio MRT station.

So the next time you need some quiet time or a pampering sesh, head that way. It may be time to venture outside your usual hang-out spots and explore these lesser-known gems on our sunny island.
